We plan generous showers, double vanities with real storage, soft layered lighting and finishes that stay beautiful in Texas humidity. We also design for the long term: curbless entries, blocking for future grab bars and slip-resistant surfaces make the space comfortable at every stage of life without looking clinical. ## What is included - Curbless and walk-in showers with frameless glass - Freestanding and drop-in soaking tubs - Custom vanities, linen storage and makeup stations - Heated floors and towel warmers - Full waterproofing membranes and proper slope to drain - Ventilation sized to remove humidity ## Planning considerations ### Waterproofing is non-negotiable We install sheet or liquid-applied waterproofing membranes behind all wet-area tile and flood-test shower pans before tile goes in. ### Humidity control Correctly sized, ducted exhaust fans on timers keep mold and mildew out of a bathroom in our humid climate. ### Curbless showers on slab foundations A curbless shower on a concrete slab may require recessing the slab or building up the surrounding floor. We plan this early so the transition is seamless. ## Timeline Typically 4–8 weeks for a primary bathroom after selections are finalized. ## Bathroom Remodeling by city - [Bathroom Remodeling in Willis, TX](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/bathroom-remodeling/willis.md) - [Bathroom Remodeling in Conroe, TX](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/bathroom-remodeling/conroe.md) - [Bathroom Remodeling in The Woodlands, TX](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/bathroom-remodeling/the-woodlands.md) - [Bathroom Remodeling in Montgomery & Lake Conroe, TX](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/bathroom-remodeling/montgomery.md) - [Bathroom Remodeling in Spring, TX](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/bathroom-remodeling/spring.md) - [Bathroom Remodeling in Magnolia, TX](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/bathroom-remodeling/magnolia.md) - [Bathroom Remodeling in Houston, TX](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/bathroom-remodeling/houston.md) - [Bathroom Remodeling in Huntsville, TX](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/bathroom-remodeling/huntsville.md) - All other communities within 100 miles: https://dreamhousetexas.com/service-areas ## Frequently asked questions ### How long does a primary bathroom remodel take? Most luxury primary bathrooms take about 4 to 8 weeks of construction after tile, fixtures, glass and vanities are selected. Relocating plumbing, recessing a slab for a curbless shower or custom glass fabrication can extend the schedule. ### Can I convert my tub into a large walk-in shower? Yes, tub-to-shower conversions are one of our most requested upgrades. We remove the tub, rework the drain, install a waterproofed shower system and frameless glass. Many clients keep a freestanding tub elsewhere in the room. ### Are curbless showers possible on a slab foundation? Yes. On a slab, we either recess the concrete in the shower area or raise the surrounding floor so water flows to a linear or center drain without a curb. It takes careful planning, and we decide the approach before demolition.
