We prepare submittals and coordinate approvals. ### Foundation check before we open walls Older slabs on clay soils can show movement. We look for cracks, sticking doors and uneven floors early, and bring in a structural engineer when needed so finishes are not installed over an unresolved problem. ### Modern electrical for modern living Luxury renovations add induction ranges, EV chargers, smart-home systems and more lighting. We evaluate panel capacity and wiring so new loads are supported safely. ## Neighborhoods served in and around Huntsville - Elkins Lake - Lake Raven area - FM 1374 acreage - Downtown Huntsville ## Frequently asked questions ### Do you offer home renovation in Huntsville, TX? Permitting time in Huntsville depends on whether your property is reviewed by the city, Walker County or an HOA, which we confirm at the start. ### Do you build homes in Elkins Lake, Huntsville? Yes. We build and renovate homes in Elkins Lake and across Huntsville, preparing architectural review submittals and planning for sloped, wooded lots. ### Can I live in my home during a renovation? Often, yes. For many projects we phase the work, isolate construction zones with dust barriers and keep at least one kitchen or bath functional. For full gut renovations that affect plumbing and HVAC throughout the house, a short move-out is usually safer and faster. ### Do I need a permit for a home renovation in Texas? Most renovations that touch structure, electrical, plumbing or HVAC require a permit from the city — or the county in unincorporated areas — and many neighborhoods also require HOA approval. We prepare and manage those submittals as part of our service. ## Related - [Huntsville service area](https://dreamhousetexas.com/service-areas/huntsville.md) - [Home Renovation overview](https://dreamhousetexas.com/services/home-renovation.md)
